Ya está aquí el álbum debut de 5 Seconds of Summer

La banda australiana acaba de publicar en España su primer y esperado disco, que estaba ya disponible en reserva desde hace semanas.

Cinco segundos de verano, no. Más de dos meses de verano les esperan a los fans de todo el mundo para escuchar el nombre de 5sos allá donde vayan. Avisado quedaba hace unos meses de que este grupo daría mucho que hablar, que tenía futuro en la industria, y que aún tenía mucho que ofrecer.

El talento de estos cuatro chicos de las antípodas es innato, pero han tenido que pasar por numerosas covers colgadas en YouTube, tener la suerte de contar con One Direction como padrinos, y lanzar varios EPs, para hacerse por fin con un hueco en el mercado musical en forma de CD. Los fans, ya los tenían.

Los primeros países privilegiados en tener el disco de 5 Seconds of Summer (llamado igual que la banda) el 29 de junio han sido sólo trece, todos de ellos europeos salvo tres: Australia, Nueva Zelanda, y Sudáfrica. España, por suerte, sólo ha tenido que esperar un día más que ellos para recibir el disco. Mientras tanto, otros países, contra todo pronóstico Estados Unidos entre ellos, tendrán que esperar hasta el 22 de julio.

Los chicos llevan compaginando la promoción con la gira en la que acompañan a 1D (el WWAT) desde que hace tiempo anunciaran que tenían ya el disco en el horno. Los trending topic #Finally5sosAlbum y #5SOSTHEALBUM han estado presentes aleatoriamente durante meses, sin duda una muestra más delfenómeno que han supuesto los australianos. Sus pegadizos y optimistas temas les han llevado al éxito mucho más deprisa de lo que esperaban. Ya han llegado a alcanzar el número uno en las listas musicales británicas, como es el caso de She Looks So Perfect.

Este primer trabajo tiene cuatro versiones. Primero están las dos versionesestándar, sencillas, que cuentan con doce canciones. Uno de ellos es el que ya se puede encontrar en las tiendas, y el otro está disponible en iTunes. Cabe destacar que en el día de su estreno en España, este ha llegado al número 1 de iTunes España. A estos, se unen dos ediciones deluxe, también una en formato físico y otra en digital. Sin embargo, la edición que se venderá en tiendas, pese a que tiene tres canciones más que la versión estándar (Social Casualty, Never Be y Voodoo Doll),  se queda corta respecto a la que se vende en iTunes. El formato de compra digital del álbum aporta una canción más: Greenlight, además de dos archivos devídeo, un Undercover 5sos y un Behind the Scenes. Biografía:

Michael Clifford estudió en el colegio Norwest Christian College de Riverstone, en los suburbios del noroeste de Sidney.  En este colegio privado, donde a los alumnos se les enseña música a fondo desde muy temprana edad, es donde Michael Clifford conoció a sus actuales compañeros de 5 Seconds of Summer, Luke Hemmings y Calum Hood, pero creemos que no iban a la misma clase ya que Luke y Calum tienen 1 año menos que Michael. 

Michael Clifford no tiene hermanos ni hermanas, es hijo único y se sabe poco sobre sus padres. Michael tiene tanto ascendencia inglesa como escocesa, irlandesa, alemana y australiana. Imaginamos que esto se deberá a los ancestros de los padres de Michael, sus abuelos, bisabuelos y tatarabuelos, de diferentes procedencias de Europa, pues Australia es un país que se ha formado por la inmigración desde diferentes países del mundo. 

Creemos que su padre es constructor o algo así, porque uno de los mejores amigos de la infancia de Michael, llamado Carl Robson es carpintero y afirma en Twitter que se crió junto a Michael aunque tiene 4 años más que él.  Michael Clifford ha afirmado que si no estuviera en la banda de música 5 Seconds of Summer sería un albañil, estaría trabajando junto con su padre y su amigo Carl.
